Mushishi Special: The Shadow That Devours the Sun is a 45-minute special. It aired on the 4th of January, 2014.
At the end of the movie it was revealed that the anime will be getting a second season in the spring of 2014. The new season started airing on April 4, 2014.
Synopsis
Ginko finds himself in a village which falls victim to a Mushi that blocks out the sun; however, one villager seems to benefit from this calamity.
