Tree of Eternity is the twentieth and final episode of Mushishi Zoku Shou.
Synopsis[]
A huge ancient tree grew near a village. It had been growing there for about a thousand years. It grew so strong no man could cut it down. It had been worshiped as a god for generations.
But then one day, after a fire had destroyed villagers' source of income, it bloomed with red flowers all over and allowed men to cut itself down to save them from starving to death.
Only a single fruit it produced - but it wasn't an ordinary plum...
